Team Description
The mission of Navy Juniors Summer Swim Team is to provide the opportunity for all Department of Defense dependents to compete in a summer swim league. The club is open to swimmers 5-18 years old (as of May 30th) and the club seeks to improve aquatic skills while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship and building community.
The NAVY Jrs. "SEALs" has participated in the Central Maryland Swim League (CMSL) since 1973 and, prior to the CMSL founding, has competed since the early 1960s.
During the summer season, morning practices are held every weekday morning from 7 am - 8 am and 8 am - 9 am. Older swimmers (12 and up) swim from 7-8 am. The younger swimmers swim from 8-9 am. All swimmers must be able to swim one pool length unassisted.
Practices are held at the pool across from Gate 8 of the Naval Academy. We have swim meets against other CMSL teams on Saturday mornings and a Divisional Championship (usually the last weekend in July).
All swimmers must be MWR-eligible in order to participate in the club.
The meet schedule has been updated for the coming season with the first meet on Saturday June 20th. Optional practices will start June 15th and June 16th, with the first official practice on June 17th.
Registration for the 2026 season is open! Registration cost is $175 for the first swimmer with a discount for each additional swimmer. Uniform costs are separate and to be determined.
